I need to get the tach out of my car, never removed this before. Any information on how to take out the glass and pull out the tach and gauge face would be very helpful, ty

you need to take the whole thing out
the whole cluster pops out after you have taken the ring bezel off... then its pretty easy from there.... theres a couple clips and layers you have to go through... the glass... stock bezel, and hten your at the actual gauges. everything is held on by clips, so make sure you dont break em ;)

Dammit, I had a really good link for the cluster, but it seems dead- try your luck:

Anyway, two screws in the top of the bezel, two spring clips on the bottom (pry steadily, they're steel clips like the radio surround), then four screws (easy to see) around the cluster, and it pulls right out. No speedo cable, it's all electrical.
The clear plastic over the gauges is held with obvious clips, press down and forward with a flat-bladed screwdriver. Same with the back, be gentle with the printed circuit mylar on the back. Then you're in, should be gravy from there.
