i want to put a tv monitor where the passenger air bag cover is in the 2g eclipse, i was wondering if anyone has done this or knows about doing this, if i took off the air bag cover will the air bag come out with it, how do i remove the cover, just pull it off? any help appreciated, thanks

its easy...you make a framt aorund the TV and make little posts with wood to hold it out from the cover....then glassover it and cover..boia you got a custo housin...i makethem for audio dimenions sometimes

i got a the TV i can sell ya ;) PM me and we can discuss if u want, unless u already got one

will, just curious...but how? removing the stock airbag or placing the monitor in view of the driver?

i am not going to be removing the air bag system, i am going to be mounting a monitor over it

hmmm lcd to the face..that sounds like a good time LOL. I would hope you plan on disconnecting the airbag if you arent going to remove it.

i almost every state it is aginst the law to have a moniter in the front of the vehicle where the driver can see it. if you do put it there make sure you have some kind of cover for it to keep it out of site

If that was the case all mercedes and bmw wouldn't be able to have navigation systems in their cars... Things that make you go hmmmmmmmm.... I wonder if there is really such laws because cops gave me hell about a tv in my car. And it was in the golvebox.

nav systems are not viewed in the same way.
nav. is a drivers aid
TV DVD/Xbox/PS2 are driver distractions

thats why all of the cars that you see atdeales that come new with tvs are behind the driver.

and even if its not a writen law in your area most cops will give you a hard time about it and i know i dont want to give them a reason to look at my car any more than normal

if you could get a screen shot of a nav. system then you could use that so if you did get pulled over and they tried to give you crap about it you could brush it off as a nav. sys.
