wiring help...power ground and accessory?

i just got my dvdplayer in the mail and tomorrow i may hook it up, i have 2 wires, the power ground and accessory wire... i already have a 4 gauge wire running through my firewall so that will hook it up to the power, i also have a ground setup under the glovebox. where does the acc wire go (it has an inline fuse connected also). thanks

the accesory wire is used to turn it on once the key is turned to accessory(hence the name).
if you have access to the wiring of your deck(cd player or what ever you have)you can use the same one as you deck(your deck needs this to turn on too)you can tell which one this is with a voltmeter or test light.
first start with the car off, and find out which wire is hot all the time.
it is usually yellow or red.
then turn the key over to accessory and find another hot wire(your voltmeter will get a reading or your test light will light up)
it will be the other one of the too(red and yellow)
another way to do it is to use the wire off your deck that turns on and off an amp or raises and lowers a power antenna...although this method isn't as good as it is a very small currant(sp?my brains a little dead today)
you could also run a seperate wire from the fuse box off somthing that goes on once the key is turned to accessory, but running it off the same wire as your deck should be the way to go.

thanks for the help, i have my tv and power inverter hooked directly to the battery and my car doesnt need to be on to turn these on... So with it hooked to the accessory, it wont turn on even if it is hooked to the power and ground wires also, its kinda like a break in the like accept when the car is on? I may rewire my tv and power inverter to do this also... or just add 2 switches i can use to turn them on and off. thanks again for the help, i cant wait to get this hooked up

i dont have a multimeter or anything, but does anyone know what color the accessory wire is??? after spending about 3 hours wiring and splicing wires for my tv, dvdplayer, and inverter and moving other stuff around, i found out the claimed DIN sized dvd player i have isnt DIN sided, so now i have to find another place to mount it...grr...
