i thinking of painting mine door panels but my cars is cloth and the door got this furry section on it on can i paint that area, any helpful websites will be appreciated

thanks

If you paint the fuzz then it will get all matted and look horrible. I too have the fuzz and want to switch my whole interior over to black. Im thinking of making a plastic insert or carbon fiber just for looks of course. Sorry if that didnt help but I too have wondered.

just replace the fuzz with Fake Leather....(easy to work with and if u mess up,its cheap so u can try again,)

I am actually right in the middle of painting my doors. They make a fabric spray paint, I'll probably be using that tomorrow. I'll post some pics when its all finished if you guys want me to.

Here's the finished product.

hey im buying a GSt , and the interior is al GREy..blah..im goign to paint it somwhat like you did,..waht kinda paint is that? it looks like it came out smooth. when i painted my other eclipse i used some cheap autozone stuff. but it came out awesome! i think u jsut have to be patient and know how to paint. good job tho!

I originally used Krylon Fusion for only the plastic, the red parts. I used this black vinyl spray paint made by Plastic Kote, but I didnt really like the way it looked so I actually ended up using black Krylon Fusion on the vinyl. I didnt know I could use it on vinyl at first, but it came out really well, better than the actual vinyl spray.

The fabric came out really good, its a little "spikey" but its not bad. It was the easiest thing to paint. I used some black fabric spray also made by Plastic Kote for that.

I very carefully taped it off. I stuffed the hole with newspaper and taped it like crazy. That bottom section doesnt come off without braking it.

so u painted the vinyl black?!! i thought that it was the stock factory black color?! dang....that looks good, fooled me...so was your interior color grey??? so did u paint the interior dash black too? because my new car the inteior is grey..and i want to repaint is black(or swap a whole dash)but itd be easier to just paint it i think. thanks

The dash is next on the list. I'm not sure if I'm going to paint it yet or just try to find a black one. Here is what my doors looked like before:

yeh finding the dash wouldnt be the problem, but ive heard from some guys on this site that swapping a whole dash is damn hard. but ive never done it, so i dont know. i was thinking of painting mine, but i wasnt sure if it would come out crappy.

The only reason I wouldnt buy a black one is to save money. If I paint my dash, I'm going to take it out to paint it so either way its coming out. If I can figure out how that is LOL.

95mitsu. you did exactly the same thing that i did with my doors. except where your red is, i put blue. i need to paint my dash too but im not shure what the easyest way would be. when you figure it out can you let me know? thanx.
