Subwoofer box and polyfill question...

Alright, I have a 2.5 cubic ft box but i want it to get up to 3 cubic ft. Will polyfill help me acheive this goal or will i need to do some more modifying to get it up to the 3 cubic ft?

polyfill makes the sub *think* the box is bigger.. you're better of just building it to the correct spec you want. pollyfill is a waste to me...

General rule of thumb is 1lb. of polyfill per cubic foot of air space. I've used it in a couple installs before and it does help a little. Whether it works for you or not...it's worth the try considering it will only cost you $5-$10.
