Relocate battery question. Where to buy wire?

I am going to rewire my battery soon and install it in the trunk. My question is though is what kind of wire should I use? I know Home Depot sells Welding Wire that comes in 2ga wire. It has a high strand count. Would that work fine? Thanks

Also I know to use a inline fuse incase the power wire shorts out....

yep, im going to use the same thing.. stuff ant cheap though from what im told.. (i got a better place to stick my battery than the trunk though )
