Has anyone ever seen tail lights shaded with same color as the body of the car? Similar to smoked tail light lenses... but BODY COLOR.... e.g. teal (mine), blue, red, green, etc etc..... ?

If I buy paint color as my car's body, can I mix it up somehow with something and spray my tail lights? Of course lights need to be seen through the shading, just like smoked lenses (for some reason I felt I needed to add this sentence).

Anyone ever heard of this? Done this? Know the procedure?

This sounds like a cool idea, but never really seen anything like it. The only way I can imagine to do it is to use some kind of candy color, like house of colors stuff, it s like a transparent paint that you spray over a base, but I m not even sure that that would work, anyone?

My friend owns a body shop and painted his lights with a candy. He used a dark red, but it was a candy. I don't see why it wouldn't work with another color, but wouldn't it be illegal? I believe your tail lights have to reflect red. That was why the clear lights became illegal.
