im new and have a few questions

im new to the whole dsm family. i love the car. i have a 2002 mercury cougar that is just about done.. so im starting my new car . a 95 eclipse gst. right now i have a few questions.. i bought it used with 90, g's in miles. and the engine is in decnt shape. the interior is good and the body needs work. but my questions are does anyone have a diagram or a how to on how to take apart the dash .. i have to fix the tach .. it doesnt work . also i was looking through the engine bay and there are 2 clips that comming off the power wire from the alternator. one is a orange/brown 4 prong female clip and the other is a single thick female prong brass clip and the wire is a blue with a white strip . i have a check engine light but the guy i bought it from said that the mechanic didnt have the obd to pull the code. , but i think it might be one of these wires. can anyone help ??? please
