I got into a very low speed collision (my fault) and scratched up the paint on my front bumper. It is just the stock black 97-99 oem bumper and it was already chipping on the bottom, has a crack in the bottom (not visible unless you are under the car), and had a huge scratch on the passenger side.
I want to replace it with another oem style bumper. I've seen polyurethane ones on sale on ebay for half the price of a new bumper from the dealership. Has anyone replaced their bumper with a OEM style polyurethane one? Or (I'm going to start my search tomorrow) can anyone direct me to a place where I can get a regular OEM one for way below the $300 I was quoted at.
Also, I've only been to one place to get a quote on this (it was the bodyshop the dealership sends it's cars to), what would you expect to pay to get just the front bumper painted factory black? I'm talking about just the cost of painting - no need to have them put it on for me. I was told a little more than $150 for just that.
I'll probably make some calls and search on the internet tomorrow or the next day to see how things stand. It is just minor damage to the paint, but since my bumper was already in need of replacement I might as well get a new one now that I scratched it up even more.
Thanks,
