Can't decide on a HU

First off, I am most likely going to buy a Sony. At the moment I can't decide on the new CDX-M850MP or the old CDX-C90. Over xmas I was burnt by some bastard with a C90, but I do have the processor.

The C90 in infinitely better than the 850, but it is double the price and 5 years old.

What would you lot recomend?

I'll tell you what I would NOT recommend...Sony. Sony car audio is low end at best. Invest in a decent HU if you're looking for decent sound quality. Some of my favorites are Kenwood Excelon, Pioneer, Clarion, and Alpine.

I have been using Sony for years. I actually bought a Kenwood a few months ago and absolutely hated it. It was a pain in the ass to use and I just couldn't get used to it. I have played around with an Alpine. I thought they felt cheap and at any moment could fall apart. Pioneer is a possibility...what is a comparable model?

sony is garbage and overpriced for their lack of quality.. sorry to say

alpine is great, pioneer is great but expensive, blaupunkt is good on a budget, and clarion is pretty good (and moderately priced)
