center console

I have a question....on my 95 GST (standard) im trying to remove the center console. But i've run into problems, when i go to lift it out (after removing the screws) it hangs up on something aroung the shifter area...i cant figure out what it is though. Just thought i'd see if anyone else has run into the same problem while trying to remove theirs.

did you disconnect your CIG lighter wires??? or the light that goes into the ashtray?? other than that check... your shifter may be catching on your shift boot!!!!

did you pull out the ashtray/cupholder and take out the screws under there?

When I did it the 1st time, it was the cig lighter conection, and make sure your knob is off but thats an obvious

there are 2 screws under the plastic thing around the radio.

Actually i need to remove the console so i can plug the cig lighter BACK in. I also plan on doing my interior painting at the same time. Thanx for the feedback though, and ill check to make sure i have all those screws removed.
