well this college isnt exactly a "auto mechanic" department , but its still a good school for it

Hinds Community College , in Raymond , MS

my freind went there , who is 18 and went there for 2 years and then went and applyed a well known mechanic place around here , and he got the job vs a guy with 20 years of experience , just for having there colleges auto mechanic school on this application.....

Whatever you do...if your in the Temple, TX. area, do not attend Temple College attemping to actually learn in their "autotech" classes. The teacher's a complete bonehead who couldn't tell the difference between a dohc & a sohc engine. I took 4 of his classes earlier this year because I thought I could learn more than I already knew...zilch. All he teaches you how to do is change oil & take starters apart. Complete waste of money.

i personally am going to WYoTech iun january. They have a campus in Laramie Wyoming, or near pittsburgh PA. They are the best of the best for general Auto, ASE and all that stuff. But have specialty course too, such as Street Rodding and Custom Fabrication, Chasis Fabrication and High performance Engines, auto interiors, anything, i suggest you check it out if your serious about getting into it...

HA!....the best of the best hahaha.

i spent 3 years at northwestern university in lima ohio. i highly recommend this school. you get fridays off and only go to scholl for 5 hours no homework and you can work on your own car. give me a shout if you want to know more info

I am personally going to attend UTI in August. I am attending the campus in Houston Texas but there is probably one close to you. I am going into Automotive Technology with specialty in BMW. Not a bad way to spend the rest of my life, working on BMW and after you become a master tech you can make up to six figures. Not a bad way to spend the rest of my life in my opinion.
