I know you're all thinking "oh great, another 1G yellow head light thread". and it is, but not asking how to cure it.... i did mine today. They were yellow as fu(k when i started. They are crystal now. I'll post pics tomorrow when batteries charge. Just thought i'd let everyone know, they're mint.. :thumb:

Nope, wet sand 1000 grit, then do 1500, then just buff then with compound on a white foam pad....i did each headlight twice just to get them absolutely mint...and i glazed them afterwards.

Heres the Before...

you should make a "how-to" for this...and get it put in the Tech Articles

anyway, they look good...show us a pic with them on the car for another comparison shot.

Later,

sure, mail em out, pay for shipping each way, thats it, i wont even charge ya....

i still have it, but i need to sell it now due to the new addition to the family. so yeah...

damm thats nice as ell, i thought mine was clear, im going to do that right now!!!!!!!

well i just did mine, about the same way, i used 1500 grit wet sanded, it turned out really cool, crystal clear, my Silver Star bulbs are a purple-ish blue-ish color and that is what my lens looks like at different angles, plus i have blue turn signal bulbs, crystal clear, and plz tell how you glazed it or what ever it means. thx

do u need an electric buffer to do this? would it be too hard to do by hand? also would it be nesecary to do the inside aswell? i have a 1g w/ pop ups. let me know thanx

trevor

pop-ups are different im pretty sure, isnt it a sealed beam glass faced headlight? or do you mean te skinny little runner lights right underneath? And yes, you need an electric buffer, no one can rub fast or hard enough to remve the scratches you'll put in the lenses.

BTW, i have a set of these for sale, as clear as the ones in the pics, not sure of price, if anyone is interested, let me know how much you'd pay, and we'll talk thanks :thumb:

ya, i was talking bout the lnse that sits infront of the popup, not the actual light. do u have clear lense for sale that would fit mine? price? bc v1y 7z1 so just a matter of snading and buffing
sounds simple, might have to find a buffer

but new headlights worked for me.. well untill a drunk driver totalled my car today while it was parked infront of my house ;\ ill post pics soon

what do you mean by glazing the headlights, and how do you do it?

did you have to take it apart? what kind of stuff is good to seal them back together? I want to do my 98 eclipse headlights there is a thin layer of dust only but don't know what's the best to seal. Silicon? If so which one or is it generic.
