Looks pretty good!

You shouldve tried to find some 17" GSX wheels, those look kick ass on 1G's

Now you need to lower it

Damn your car is hella clean. What digi cam do you use to take pics cuz those are some awsome pics (kinda made me wish my GSX was white :( ). Very nice though :thumb:

Thanx, my digicam is really good. It's a Canon Powershot A20. It's pretty big in size but the picture quality is great.

both of your cars look good

and you BOTH need to lower them bitches!
:D

i didn't think i wanted to lower mine, until i found a set that was real cheap, and i just thought "what the heck, why not give it a try, if i don't like it, i can sell them"

i got dropzone adjustable coilovers, they aren't real pricey ($130-150) and they are actually pretty good. not a bad ride, but still stiffer than stock. i'd reccommend them.

Later,

Where did you get those coilovers. Thats cheap and I am confused what exaclty is a coilover?, Does it come with new shocks or it is just springs basically? Whats the difference between just buying springs and coilovers?
Patrick

The coilovers he speaks of are the adjustable springs. They sit on a perch that are mounted on a threaded collar, you simply spin the perch counter clockwise or clockwise to adjust your ride height. 2G coilovers are easy to find, FWD 1G's are reasonably priced and okay to find, 1G AWD guys get ripped off by having to pay around $450-$500 for a set due to their unavailability.

Nah I don't think I'm going to lower it. I already scrape the front bumper on some driveways, and even scrape the muffler. $400 is pretty pricey for cosmetics. All my money is going to my 16G upgrade right now (still need injectors, fuel pump).

The only reason I bought rims is because my tires are completely bald, and I got the rims and tires for $200. Once my 16G is in and running well, then I may consider lowering it :thumb:

can you run a 225-50- on those with out them looking like the side wall is going to pop?that looks good:cool:

mark,
glad my car was an inspiration to you! :D the 2G wheels really do make a nice visual improvement.

i can't believe you scrape that much at stock height though. i dropped my car about 1.5" and as long as i'm careful i rarely, if ever, bottom out. the handling characteristics of the car are much improved. i would suggest you look at some good shocks and a set of springs with a 1" drop.
