Has anyone put guages where the accessory box goes in a 2g? Pics?

I just got a new CD/MP3 player and I have a lovely area to put guages in down where the radio/tape deck used to live. Was wondering if I would be reinventing the wheel to build a panel to fit in there. Does anyone have this set up?
