Ok what is the best way to do this.. basicly I was just going to cut it at it''s base after unhooking it and fill that little dip with bondo and painting it later on...

id like to know the same im thinking of doing the same thing. i was thinking fiberglass the hole and paint the spolier.

why dont you just REMOVE the entire antenna asembly, take off the panel in the left side of the hatch and unhook the harnesses and then take it out, im not sure about the bondo and stuff, but if you really wanted to, im guessing you can keep everything wired up and instead of having a metal antenna sticking out, just feed the wire throught the car and you should bet better reception i think

What I did was Cut a Patch out that was oversized, Leveled that hole down flat (same contour as my patch) Metal glued it in, Grinded it down.
Filled with Fiberglass Filler, then when it was level, Do a few layers of Plastic Filler over it, Featheredge it, Fill PRime it, then paint the 1/4 panel, and Blend the paint into the bumper and hatch

i would do it right and have a body shop do it or something. I had our custom graphics shop in town do it since he sponsors me. He painted my turbo spoiler, filled all of the holes from the rs spoiler and painted the pieces, and shaved the antenna all for 300 dollars.
