I don't care what anyone else says. No matter how good the latch is on the VIS (which it is kickass) you still need them.
 
I remember this guy on here...think his username was evan2. He had quite an experience driving about 30-35 mph and his hood ripping off and smashing his windshield. Why you might ask? No hood pins.

for 30 bucks, you can prevent that nonsense. get ummmmmmm. :thumb:
 
what happened was he was on the highway and the hood didn't flip up on him. the c/f layer that's on the skeleton ripped off. his hood never flipped up, just ripped off the c/f layer and left the skeleton on. i remember seeing the pics. they were funny.
