I got 1990 gsx, and as you all know body kits are mad hard to find:mad: ......and most of the ones that i like that i found are fiberglass......i was wondering what the main difference is.....does eurothane last longer....chip less.....cracks less.....what do u guys think i should get

Nice wing....but i have a turbo:thumb:

fiberglass is usually cheaper and can be fixed/repaired if it cracks or chips. eurothane is a little stronger but im pretty sure it can not be repaired if chiped or cracked. id go with fiberglass.

Importfan.com has some stuff for the 1g's. My front bumper has a broken bracket andd looks like crap, so I'm probably going to order one from these guys. Cheaper than OEM, unless I was to get one used.

Eurothane will flex if bumped unlike fiberglass... although fiberglass is much easier to fix and doesn't need flex additive in the paint. I would highly recomend eurothane especially for a daily driver.

WOW, EURO THEANG? is that slang?

Its Poly Urethane!!!!

Anyways, Fiberglass isnt that bad 2 use. Yea it cracks easier, but its hella easy 2 fix.

Ok, ok already...so i spelled urethane (eurothane)...my bad.....i meant urethane..... i am still torn on this ....i plan to drive the car every day,so i am gonna need something that will hold up but can be repaired easily too. There is no way that urethane is fixable???and is there really such thing as a flex additive that you have to put into the paint????

May the Boost be with you, always;)

For fiberglass: light weight, can be fixed and repair. Easier to break or not is depend on the quality of fiber glass. I have seen very expensive fiber glass bodykit from Japan. The finish is even better than urethane and same as ABS plastic (OEM material).

urethane: more weight, a little more durable compare to most fiberglass in US market, better finish. cheap to reproduce. However, it still break, and can NOT be fixed by MOST bodyshop. (There are places can fix urethane, however, most of them won't do it)

ABS Plastic: ligth weight, more durable than fiberglass, easy to reproduce, better finish quality than Fiber glass, and ALOT lighter than urethane.

ABS is the upcoming material, for bodykit

hey, i just ordered the bomex kit and for the F#####g price of it it better be the good japanese fiberglass. total $1409.00

OH NO, feel sorry for you "pozz24gs" when I am speaking of high quality Japanese fiber glass, bomex is not one of them. Althought Bomex's kit is better than most fiber glass kit in the US, it is not consider high quality kit in Japan. If you ever seen kit from "Approval," and such then you know what I mean.

thats ok, i have the $ to spend anyway and i want to be different. its the price you pay to be different and this is after all, an expensive hobby. im happy w/ it
