anyone know of places that do custom emblems, like that you would use for a replacement for the stock emblem on the front, or like the metal badges that some dealerships put on the backs of their cars. i am wanting to get an emblem to replace the one missing from the front end of my car, but i am not wanting a mitsubishi one.

i've yet to see a custom metal emblem put on a car by a dealership. I've worked at a dealership and done misc. work in many others. They're plastic. If you're really creative you can carve it out of that styrofoam type stuff and then cover it w/ some type of epoxy sealent or something similar that will give it a smooth finish. I know there are some people out there who know what i'm talkin about, and they can probably tell you the exact materials... or you could just search the internet. Companies that sell fiber glass materials usually sell the styrofoam type stuff and of course the epoxies and what not.

yeah, i have been searching for them online, what i am wanting is an autobot emblem (think old school transformers) not sure if i am creative enough to make one myself, i thought about trying to carve one out of metal with my dremel.

*edit

on another note, what about just having a small vynl one made (do they make shiney metal looking vynl) i have also thought about getting a vynl decal to put on my turbo bump (autobot symbol)

yeah. you can have shiny vynil ones made. just as long as you have a picture of the symbol... shit, you could buy the vynil yourself, trace the symbol and cut it out w/ a razor blade/exacto knife. No need for metal though. unless you ABSOLUTELY have to. heh

i wonder how i could make it slightly raised like a real emblem, what material do you think would be best, metal, or some type of high quality plastic?
