only tweeters and subs

My friend told me not to work on speakers and just get like 4 tweeters and 2 subs and 2 amps powering the subs. He said that it sounds the best this way. Does this sound right to anyone?

no. you have to have mid level sound and bass.it would sound so terrible and scrachie.it would make your ears bleed.look at it this way.subs are for realy low sounds and feel. mids are your music and medium sound and tweeters are for super high sound that complements the mid sound. your friend needs to read a book about audio.

Mid-bass speakers play basically the majority of your music, not using them would be completely retarded. You need highs, mids, and lows for a natural and true-to-life sound and a balanced application of all three will be your best bet for a quality system.
