What was the process of getting your valve cover like that?

Did you use a dremel? Steel wool?

First i used a 4'' disc grinder to take off the letters and lines . I then used a 4'' layered sanding disc . A palm sander with 80 down to 150 grit sand paper made it flat and even . I used wet sand paper from 400 to 1500 grit to make it silky smooth , followed by 3 hrs. with the buffing wheel and hand polishing to wrap it up .

Ive only had the car since Sep. and had it stored for the winter , so I havn't realy put much miles on to tell but nothing gettin messy yet , its still clean.

only two weld lines on the front out side corners , there ground smooth and polished , i can't even see them in the pic . it must be a funky light refection you guys see.

huh? that looks like a weld line behind the dip stik (sorry soe keys are not working on y keyboard due to soe spilt water)

Nope all the sides are bent in a vise and hammered , finished . just the front corners are welded.

Thats really clean lookin, when my car finally gets out of the shop, that will be my next task. Anyone know where I can get one of those heat shields?? or who would make one for me?? Thanks and mad props on that bay
