Recently I got a 98 talon esi 420a out of my uncles shop and a set of 17 inch rims that he also had lying around. After buying some new rubber I am left with this disturbing 3 inch gap that to me is hideous.

Yes, I'm thinking a kit and alignment is what is needed. I'm looking for anyone who has experience with brands and their drop rates while keeping the price range reasonable.

ROFL

Plenty of info over the last 12 years on this site...

Go through the classifieds and look for a set of used name brand coilovers. Be careful with the eBay coilovers, while their price is attractive and the quality is not terrible, the springs rates are pretty harsh and they don't always go as low as you might like.

I would go with eibach springs. Great ride, reasonable pricing, can find used sets, and can use stock strut if needed. (not recommended for sport kit) there are tons of pictures of people running eibach to give you an idea on the look

I am extremely excited now, I took a trip to the local junkyard today in search of a drivers side door panel and a jeep throttle body. I stumbled upon an eclipse that had been towed for a flat tire LOL. On it I took the stock throttle body, tension pulley bracket (mine was busted). Not only did I also score a 60mm throttle body off a jeep, but the eclipse had a coilover set in great shape with a full set of monroe struts. Perfect stance I had in mind. All for 100 bux. Cheaper than I was looking at for megan springs. Great day

Not the most reputable, but I've ran Tokico blues for the past two years and i love them for the drop and ride quality. I've got a few pictures on my profile, not to mention theyre hella cheap.

Tokico blues with eibach sport lines are a good combo or go with some good coilovers. if you go with coilovers you can adjust which is very nice to have.

Decided to take a day off of work and get er done yesterday.
