interior stock car look!

I pulled the dash to investigate some wire tuck options and I like the stock car look without the dash...

Can go with "simpified interior" similar to NASCAR. You will still have a dash, but most of the structural components will also be visible. Keep in mind, it is ILLEGAL to tamper with the VIN plate on the dash, so you will have to think of a way around that.

I like it...though I race dirt stock cars so my opinion may be biased. I wouldn't mind dailying a DSM around with dashes like the following.

I could drive like that.. However, Id go crazy without any warning gauges temp, oil, fuel etc.. Perhaps taking the wire harness out of the dash and tuck it and make a bracket to hold the stock cluster or make your own..

I couldnt do this with my spyder, the outside is far too pretty! Now, if I were to start modding my 1g, for sure.. Thing is a pile and would be a total sleeper.. If the cops were to say something about it tell them the dash is broken or sun damaged and is out of the car being repaired. might still get a ticket but could be lesser of one for tampering with the vin..

It looks different without a dash that's for sure. I think a custom suede covered dash would be pretty sweet. At least something more round in shape than the stock 1G dash. Not that there's anything wrong with stock, but it could be improved upon.

so really it weighs less but other then that if its your daily you take away all the comfort. you would have no hvac or evap so unless you live in the perfect climate you will either sweat to death or freeze. then if you have a problem where your car starts to overheat you cant even turn on the heat to reduce colant temp. just sounds kind of unpractical. just my opinion.
