Stock Radio Trim need to be cut?

The radio trim that was in my car when i got it was cut on the upper part where the aftermarket deck goes, but it looks like someone ripped it up with a chennel lock, so i got one from a car that had a stock radio in it, do i even need to cut it? if so, how?

You don't need to cut it at all. If you have a normal single-din unit, it'll fit just fine. If you have a double-din unit, you remove it all together.

Shouldn't have to cut it even for a double din.
Just pop out the old one and find out.

You shouldn't have to cut it for a single din or a double din unless the screen is bigger then 7 inches. if you put in a double din then you have to take it out.
