replacement options for 2g hatch

my 97 gsx's hatch has a rust hole on the lip, i either want an eclipse high rise or no spoiler without extra holes. what should i look for? i dont mind covering a hole if its easy

You can swap on a good hatch that meets what you're looking for from a junk yard, buy a carbon or fiberglass hatch that won't have the holes for wings, or patch up the holes on your current one and repair the rust. If you go the route of repairing the rust, you will need to weld in replacement steel material to have it done properly. You'll also need some sort of paint job to protect the bare metal, whether you do it yourself or professionally is up to you.

Some base model Eclipses came with no spoiler = no holes. But since you're probably not going to find a Barcelona red pearl hatch anytime soon, I would just fix what you have. Meaning, you'll have to respray a different hatch so you may as well save the money and do some easy rust fix, respray and kablam problem solved.

And since you have rust clear up on your hatch, I would see where else on your body the car is rusting away.

You know, I couldn't really tell from the picture but took a guess anyway. Part of me was like, "someone is gonna correct me pretty quick if I'm wrong!"
