I'm looking to buy a good all-weather car cover from my 2g. I am going to be using it year round. Summer, Spring, Fall, Winter. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks.

Just got the car back from the body shop, she looks good.
I need some help with choices for fitted car covers. Good for outdoor some times but it is garaged more often.
Thanks
Doc

If you want one, I've got an actual Mitsubishi brand fitted car cover for the 97-99 Eclipse that no longer fits my car due to the kit. PM me if you're interested.

i need a good car cover for my first gen. DSM. i will be leaving my car exposed to the sun and rain (no snow or extreame cold weather) for an extended period of time. does anybody know of a brand or a web site that offers good car covers for a reasonable price. thanks.

I bought a car cover a few weeks ago, cause the glue that holds the molding of my car melts all over the body when it gets hot.... The car cover I wanted to get was 180 bucks.... I think at carcoverworld.com or something like that... Well... I just went to the store and bought a Large size cover for 50 bucks... I works really well ... keeps the sun off my car, and keeps it dirt and dust free... Has not rained so don't know how it works with rain fall, and most importantly it doesnt scratch the paint!!

I would just go with the Wolf block it cover, for the cheap price. has 3 layer protection, which should do the trick against any weather.

Does anybody know where to find any? Do they even make them? Because the antenna on the TSI stays up all the time....so obviously it'd be a bit harder than normal to get on, but the tree sap and debre from sitting under trees is starting to piss me off.

There are companies who make custom car covers with antenna pouches. You can find them at JCWhitney.com. But i don't think you want to waste $200+ for one of those.

I suggest instead getting a decent car cover from PepBoys or like ($30 - $50). Unscrew the antenna every time, not a big deal. Or you can cut a small hole in the cover where the antenna would be and sew in a small rubber grommet, just big enough for the antenna. Works like a charm. Trust me. :thumb:

Or if you want to go extreme, sew on a pouch for antenna. Sounds silly... sewing and all... but works wonderfully.

Or you can get one of them flexible short antennas covered in rubber. (PepBoys or like)

p.s. No, there are no sewn-on things on my cover. I unscrew my antenna. :p

yeah i work for pepboys and the cheap covers are good. even though i dont have a dsm or import, i have an 82 camaro and i pop off my antenna everytime i cover my car. LOL just dont forget to put the antenna back on, ive done that a few times goin to work and i hear a noise and have to pull over just to put my antenna back on LOL. i got 2 covers for my car, at work we have the cheap gray one for $49.99 and the more expensive ones from $110 up, its a soft cloth and works pretty good but i got both and with both the gray one and the soft cloth one which is like a tan color, they both work great.

Got mine off of Ebay, it was a little over $50 and it seems to work just fine. I haven't had it very long though. But like I said it seems to be of good quality and it works great. Good luck on your search

I got a cover about a month ago when I was home and I just got back from college last week. When it snowed last week it got a small tear where the wiper is when I was cleaning it and today I took the cover off because I wanted to get the ice on it off. Underneath the cover there was water on the car and a residue from the cover! The cover is supposed to be waterproof and everything... it cost lie $70! Needless to say I am not happy. On a good note I drove my car through a street across from me and it feels so fast compared to the Jeep I have been driving since August! :thumb:

you want to look for a cover that can breath , has either vents on the cover or is made form a material that can breath. also u want a cover that will be soft that wont harm the paint no matter if its been replainted or stock paint.

i got 2 car covers on my car, one a very soft cloth type material that breaths but has no vents on it and the other is a stiffer water repeliant type cover but isnt water proof a good storm will soak the cover but wont let all the water thru just alittle and it has vents on it so air can pass thru and keep moisture out. for both covers it cost me about $160, one was like $45 (thats the top one that has the vents) and the other one was like $110 or 120 (thats the one i have underneth which is the soft one)

i've searched all over and i can't find if they ever made an OEM cover. I"m looking to buy one if they have them for my 98 GS-T. Can anybody point me in the right direction?

Thanks!
