So I pick up this 92 Talon AWD for $2,600.

Had over $13k in mods and upgrades.

Body and paint was in bad shape.

My brother and I started to tear it apart and prep it for paint this weekend, we got all the lil dents and dings out and put some primer on her and will be wet sanding it during the week and have her painted by the weekend.

Repainting it to the original Grey/black color.

I wish I had a garage..I would learn how to do body work..

It's nice your bringing the car back to life.

Ya..Parents have a full Garage (that's where I keep all my 8 DSM parts cars)

My brother went to school to do body work and paint, I'm learning from him.

Feel real good doing the work yourself. Feels very rewarding when you see the final product.

I have a neighbor that give me my paint supplies at cost. Good to have goo friends and neighbors!

Over the weekend I shot the with primer and then wet sanded it.

Next we washed her off really good and then shot her with some sealer.

Next we shot the black paint up top and then covered it up and shot the silver on the rest of the body. After it was all painted we gave it Two good coats of Clear.

I also shaved my valve cover and painted it silver and shot it with 3 coats of clear.

Now comes the fun part; putting it all back together, head lights, hood, front bumper, taillights, sunroof, wing and doing a camber kit on the rear, and replacing the cat with a test pipe and re installing the valve cover.

Thanks guys for Love and support!

More final pics coming this weekend after I get it all clean up and put back together.

Going to do a cut and buff this weekend to bring out the shine in her really good!

Looks awesome man! Now you will be paranoid everywhere LOL.

Thanks, true that! I don't drive her much! I ride my Harley to and from work. Cheaper and fun to ride.

I usually just drive it around on the weekends with my son and have yet to take it to the track this year. Hope to be able to take her out on 9/1 to see what shes running!

Looks real good man. Dont forget the cut and buff pics so we can see the smoothness.

Car was actually sold to a buddy of mine. I picked up a few more since then. The one I currently have was finished up last week.

They do take a lot of work to get running and looking good, but well worth it when all is said and done!

So, after selling the 92 Talon to a buddy of mine, he decided it wasnt what he wanted and had it up for sale. I couldnt resist at getting her back so this past weekend I got her back!

This weekend I will be giving her a full tune up, change all the fluids, engine, tranny, transfer case & rear diff. I will then fine tune her and hopefully get her down the track this weekend.
