I washed my car the other day and when I started waxing the roof my white glove turned black. I washed my roof again and it was still getting my glove dirty. It even gets your hands dirty if you rub them across it. Could someone recommend a good carwashing liquid? I've been using Dawn so maybe thats the problem.

Household detergent -especially Dawn- is too harsh for paint. Pick up any good brand car wash soap- Turtle, Meguiar's, Simonize, anyone you've heard of. Sounds like your roof's clearcote is gone.

Eeeek...Dont even bother waxing your car if youre going to use dishwashing soap to wash it...it will strip the wax in no time.
