Hello Gentlemen,

I just got three 60mm gauges and I am in the process of achieving the 'stealth' look. The idea is that the holes for the limate controls in the 1G dash are about 61-62mm and a perfect fit for gauges. I took the whole thing apart and the problem is that the cables are not long enough to relocate the three knobs below the stereo. I saw it done on a VFAQ that had nothing to do with this. I tried bike cables, Harley Clutch cables,
even a John Deere lawnmower throttle cables. They do not work because they are too soft because they bend a lot.

Has anyone here done this, and if yes, what cables did you use ... or do you gentlemen have any suggestions?

I would greatly appreciate any replies.

Below is the URL of the car I saw it in.

Hmm... do you have any parts shop buddies who'll let you in to see what they have on the shelves? Sounds like you'd want other control cables, preferably Mits or Mopar, that are long enough.
