Tach install, Please Help

I got a electronic tach for free from my uncle so thats the only reason im putting it in, Anyways im installing it and I need to know the best place to tap for the green wire, It says it goes to the coil, But where? Any help is appreciated.. I used machV's diagram of where to tap on the ECU and it didnt work for some reason. Its for a 1g awd. Thanks guys
