Help, Need a pait experts advice!

Okay, I have a problem. The bumper I ordered came in but they sent the wrong one. Right style, for the wrong car (a civic)! My car is already at the paint shop and they're looking at primering it today if they finish the body work. Now my options are to go ahead and have them paint the car without the bumper and later have the bumper painted, or to wait and have it all done at the same time. I really want it for spring break It may come in time, but I'm cutting it WAY close!

The paint I'm using is a 2 stage pearl so really I want to know what you guys think. If I paint the car now and the bumper later when it comes in, do you think it will match or is it likely that it will be a little off since it's a two stage paint; a pearl???? Any ideas!! Please help??

I've been planning on meeting in Daytona for the Tuner Bash meet next weekend. I might not have my car now!

What should I do???

Ya, I'd wait too, if you pay that much money and it turns out to be even a touch different, even if nobody can really notice and you can, you'll have to live with the thought of knowing if you waited it would have been perfect.

Don't order from West Coast Spoilers!!! They don't know the differance between a civic and an eclipse front bumper. They didn't believe that they had sent the wrong one either. They made the shop email pics to them because they said they wouldn't have made a mistake like that. Well, I guess they did; at my expense.

U need advice and u got it. WAIT!!!! Why? because what if they spray the bumper at a differ air pressure and the paint comes out a LIL diffrent? Huh? Then it wont match, 2 be on the sure side is 2 do it all at the same time.

Another thing is, What if they mix it a LIL diff the 2nd time for ur bumper? Might be off again!!!

What if the 2nd time they mix it, they use 2 much reducer? it will be off, I can go on, and on with variables.

SO WAIT!! You will be happy when it gets done!!!!!!!!!!

Yesss! I just found out that they shipped out a new bumper. It's unclear weather it went out yest, or today though. If it gets here by the 19th.......which i hope, I may make it afterall!

this news about the paint being really sucks for me. i bought my car from my buddy who had it painted a pearl white with a blue tint. but he had a big spoiler on the back (which needed to come off), but looks like i twas painted with the spoiler on. so i will ahve to get my hatch repainted. im not into the whole show thing, but i hope it's not off too bad.

^^ more then likely u will have 2 blend into ur 1/4panels and bumper. (maybe!)

yeah im afraid that it's either not going to look good or it's going to cost me an arm and a leg.

but for now im rocking the mis-matched paint along with plugs to go in the hole. it'll b like that for a little while until i can get a job to pay for everyhting

Hey, I took off my stock wing and had holes in my hatch for about 2 1/2 months. I had duct tape covering them, ! My car was also (well still is) 4 different shades. My car will be tight buy next weekend so it was worth the embarassment.
