Got em for Xmas but being new here thought Id share. I added some red 194 bulbs to the center reflector piece by drilling the back out and adding a 90* bulb socket. Tapped into the tails so they only light up with the parking/head lights.

I like everything except the middle piece, if the middle was just the color of the car itd look real sweet.

Yeah I painted the stock center then had teh idea to make the reflectors functional. I kinda agree, so Im going to try tinting over the cf center with some dark 5% tint so you can still see the lights thru the tint at night.

Way to go Talonman. I love the new Tailights. That is what I am talking about;)

Makes the car's already good lines look more updated and more sophisticated than the normal stock taillights. I think the center piece was ingenious. I like it either way painted or not painted center piece. Rice haters/car customizing haters would really hate the center peice not being painted, but I would roll with it unpainted at least for a while than after getting used to it I might would change it maybe.

Car looks phenomenal to me. EXCELLENT JOB!!! A+:talon:

One more thing Talonman how easy/hard was the installation of the Carbon Fiber Taillights? Did you have to lengthen any bulb wires or anything? Let me know. Thanks.

i wouldn't care what anyone says... those tail lights are f*cking sweet! everyone's gonna bi*** cause you're doing something to a 1g that doesn't shave .2 off your 1/4 time, but who gives a sh!t, like i said, i love those tail lights. when i get my 1g GSX im getting some of those :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:

i agree totaly with JJay, who always seems to no the diffrence between rice and nice:thumb:

:dsm: :thumb: Car looks good and more up to date, I really think it is one of the more appealling cars on the site.

People who don't like it don't like change or progress or maybe it is just not their style, but that doesn't mean it is a bad style. Actually it is very innovative and new on an older 1G. Carbon Fiber all the way.

Chrome  that is a whole other ballgame entirely.

I commend you for doing something innovative and new Talonman!

Hey talon,
it looks great....where did you get them at? KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK

Never would i ever think i would say anything like this but.........i'd roll in that. i love the car man and those are about the first aftermarket lights that actually fit the car man.

you said something about tinting your lenses. you can buy this stuff called nightshades from summit racing. it's lock $10 a bottle + shipping. it makes it look really dark, but you can still see the lights.

btw, car looks nice.

Thanks for the props and the tip on the lense tinting stuff for the center. And wastefuldreamer $200 for those rims/tires was a good deal, they look ok I'm just pissing b/c for every compliment or two I get I also get called a ricer once, your entitled to your opinion like everyone. They were a Xmas gift from little bro, but they go for $244 (maybe on sale now) from procarparts.com. I prob wouldnt have spent the loot myself but they are growing on me and I like em better than the stock ones I yanked now. Fit was good but I had to add a washer to all the top mounting posts to get them to be perfectly flush w/ the trunk lid like the stockers. The center piece leaked water so you must fill in around the keyhole from the back with silicone. Also where they meet the fender in the lower corner there was a small triangle gap I filled with some black foam material I had from work made by Mueller (for holding fiber optic components in place in a tray). Its really not that noticeable but it made me feel better:D And you use your stock bulbs and sockets, oh yeah I had to shave this raised ring around the turn signal socket holes to get them to twist in, just snip the lip off with some dikes. The center lights I added just use tap connectors to tap the wires that get 12v when you turn on the parking lights, the added current of the brake light wires may burn out the small 194's I used quick.

If you want to tint the taillights a little, check out www.wetworksgarage.com . Go to products and click on smoked taillights. I'm sure it costs a pretty penny, but it would be easier than tint, and better looking that that taillight spray stuff.
