ummmmm, you need to run a power wire straight to the amp to get power to the amp............:p You do need to go straight to the battery though to answer your question.

The only safe/stable power lead that is 12V or close to would be your tail light lead. Yeah sure it would work if you didn't mind having everything dim or shut off completely in your car (lights wise) when the bass hits and you would probably blow the amp, about 10 fuses and your alternator/battery in 20-25 minutes, but go ahead and do it that way. Otherwise... try a powerlead off your battery. It works great, much more conventional, and you don't need to buy fuses every time the bass hits. Good luck in whatever you decide!

yeah, definately run it to the battery, stock leads arent meant to handle the kind of power an amp takes, buy a system install kit, they are like 20 bucks

Deffinetly hook it up to your lead for your tail lights i recomend this it works great post back after u do this so i can laugh at u

are you sure you dont wanna power it off of your fuel pump rather than the tail light .... Gotta run a power lead from the batt to the amp no other way around it unless you install andother batt in the trunk with a batt isloator..

FROM THE BATTERY...ALWAYS RUN POWER FROM THE BATTERY...i think people say this twice a day i swear...
