If you have a small area of paint chip off must the whole area be repainted or can it just be touched up in that area?

sine you have a 99 you might be able to get away with touching it up...unless you paint has faded other wise get the panel painted and around it blended....

numbber one, where did it chip off, and y? its a 99

and if ur really good with the can tape off the area and make sure its even but its better to do if u take it ioff if u can so it doesnt drip, but u want teh flawless look look around for quotes...good luck

I have a Pearl Silver 97 and I had chips in my front qp's, hood, and passenger mirror. I bought some touchup paint at satan, put it on in light coats till the chip was filled and after it dryed I wet sanded it lightly with 800 then 2000 grit wet-dry paper and buffed it out with rubbing compound and looks brand new! :D

just go to the dealor and get a bottle of touch up paint. it will do its job and its better than ur chips starting to rust.

What if you had a half dollar sized area chip off because there was a hunk of snow in the road and the road was icy and you tried to go around it but slid and ran it over anyway? DAMN SNOW!!!!!
