illegal clears

Are the old shool clear tail lights illegal even if you have bright red bulbs in them?I live in phx Az if that make a difference

I know where I live, all you need is red rear lights and red reflectors, however, the red lights do not have to have red housings. Meaning, whiteout tail lights are legal as long as some kind of red reflector is stuck onto the rear somewhere else.
of course... you could always check with your local highway traffic act and find out.

the altezza that are 50 state legal dont have reflectors.All they have is round red plasict pieces that cover the clear light bulbs so the lights look red.So thats why im wondering if you have a bright enough red bulb if it would be legal
