90 Plymouth Laser Question..

Stupid question for you guys.. I'm picking up a 90 laser tomorrow that I just bought, and I was wondering if the black stripe that goes around the body, roughly in the middle, is able to be taken off?

you can take it off, but it will leave holes, just either paint it the same color as the body or remove it and fill the groove, though thats much more work, its what I plan to do on my 91 laser

Why would you want to take the stripe off the car? If you want a straight color then persue a 93-94' car model. That stripe adds life to the look of the car. All that stripe is-is a piece of decal tape tht is not to be removed once it is in place. You have to take off the old paint on the bumper to remove the stripe. It's not worth the cost to do this for all the work that is needed to achieve your goal. Just leave it sit. or get the later laser version. Don't waste your time with minor details that can get you in trouble later on.
