im looking into getting a new shift knob for my auto.. i already got a chrome/carbon fiber brake shift.. and it looks bad!! so i have to upgrade my shift knob.. anyone have any info on any aftermarket knobs that fit a mitsu auto w/od?? thanks..

i wanted the razo 92!! but it wont fit mitsu..

i have a custom billet aluminum one made for me.
looks good and is small.
the stock monstrosity was unacceptable.
i can get you pics if you want.

the razo has a nice shape. Fits your hand really nice. I think it's a little shorter than stock. I drive with my hand on the shifter sometimes for some lame reason. (I guess I realize I shoulda bought a stick.) But it feels comfortable. The only thing that sucks- when the sun hits it, it will blind you at times.

i have that same habit man!!!!!!!! the only way i change it now is that im starting to put my hand on the radio knob for some reason..LOL

what razo do u have?? i cant see it in your pics.. but i love your interior!! job well done! how big is the razo compared to the stock montrosity?/ i hate that big thing!

copy and paste the link to your browser, that should do it.

anyway, the reason why manufacturer's say that their shifters won;t fit our cars is because we have an oval shift stalk as opposed to a round one others have, but this is just a piece of piping welded at the bottom, you have to hack it away to install it.

are u serious sids?? just hack away at your shift stalk?? with what did u do that?? what u mean anyway?? are u saying when u remove the shift knob the top is oval.. but u just have to hack away at it with a hammer??

not with a hammer, but with a saw, the shift stalk is the metal tube which the shifter slips into, the entire shifter comes off as one piece once you cut the OD wire, it just slides right off from the top. most auto shifters need a round tube to stick into, on DSMs, there is a round tube but with an oval tube that is slide over it.

i love your shifter.. i just wanna ask does it look a little smaller???

and sids or anyone who can answer this what do u do with the od button??? i wanna know specifics before i attack this mod.. thanks

here's how I figure the OD works since I dismantled the switch, there are three wires, red for power, black for ground and yellow for the OD light on the gauge cluster.

for OD to be on (no light on the gauge) red must connect with black, for OD off (light on the gauge) red must connect to yellow.

I'm still gonna scour the junkyard for any PWR switch that I can find from any other car
