im wiring up my system, and i wired into a blue wire.
i later found out that it is the power antenna wire....

where is the remote wire that i wire into for my amp?

im using a pioneer deh-p3000....

actually pioneers only have one remote output. I think the little tag on the wire says power ant. but it is always powered when the deck is on so just hook it up to your and and you'll be fine.

i dont have the instruction booklet.... for anything. i bought pretty much everything off ebay or from my friend.

there is only one blue wire coming from the pioneer harness...
here is a picture, its hard to see, but theres only one wire coming out the back....

i have the blue wire from the pioneer connected to the power antenna wire from my talon harness, and then i have my remote wire for my amp combined all 3 together.... i took all 3 wires and twisted them together at the ends.

sorry just pointning out.......i just realized..nothign wrong with it....mines 3 years old

If not you could hook it up to one of your fusses thats how I got mine.

doing that will make your amp stay on while driving if your cd player is off. I know you usually dont turn your cd player off but if you do this may cause a bunch of audio noise.

This should be in the Non-Performance or General sections. You may get better help there. However, you may be able to get some wiring diagrams from www.vfaq.com

Ok, i cant seem to find the right wire for a remote wire for my amp....i have the stock harness/radio and ive been stumped trying to find the right color of wire.....can anyone tell me which color wire i need for the remote wire?

TIA

Usually light blue. Check for the antenna wire color as that is what it woudl go too. Also, if you still have no luck, tap into the ignition acc. or even easier, I know my DSM's cigarette lighter only works when the car is on.
GOOD LUCK!

Hey. I'm installing a new head unit, which is an Alpine cda-7893 that comes with a remote. I have a question on a wire that is said to be the remote turn on lead wire. I don't know where to splice it into. Does it just need a power wire or what? This is my first cd player install...thanks guys.

As timm98gst said, its only for a remote device. When you hook up an amp for example you are usually running power to it directly from the battery therefore the amp always has constant power. By hooking up the remote wire, the amp will only turn on when the head unit is turned on. Thats the most common use for it, its not at all related to the actual remote control for the head unit.

Wiring information for your Talon:

Constant 12V+ Red/Black
Switched 12V+ Blue
Ground Chassis
Illumination Green/White
Dimmer Black/Yellow
Antenna Trigger White/Black
Antenna Left Rear
Front Speakers 4" Dash
Left Front (+) White/Blue
Left Front (-) Black/Blue
Right Front (+) White/Red
Right Front (-) Black/Red
Rear Speakers 6 1/2" Side Panels
Left Rear (+) Yellow/Blue
Left Rear (-) Gray/Blue
Right Rear (+) Yellow/Red
Right Rear (-) Gray/Red

If I were you, I would purchase an adapter harness so you do not have to cut your factory harness. You can then easily match the colors without having to guess, and it makes removal of the head unit alot easier down the road. Hope this helps!
