Infinity CD/Tape player won't work in my RS???

I've talk to an audio shop as well as the stealership about this. They say that I have to buy the speakers to make it work? Because the speakers have seperate amps in them or something? Can someone enlighten me more about this...

There is an amp for the speakers under the passenger seat i believe it is. Yes the infinity stereo is very complicated and is overprotected.

So do I need to buy all 4 speakers? I bought the cd player w/ a infinity amp with it. Should I just go ahead and buy the speakers or just sell the cd/tape player with amp?

I dotn think you need the speakers

I wuold think all you need is the reciever and the amp and all the wiring to go along with it..

How are your current speakers wired? You'd need (well, maybe not need, but it'd be easier) the factory wiring set up under the passenger seat, and the wiring in the console, and the DIN cable from the head to the amp.
I don't get what that audio shop was telling you, other than the usual "we want your money". After all, it _is_ a business....

I asked 2 audio places and 2 Mitsubishi dealers in my area, they all said that I need to get the speakers in order for the cd/tape player to work.
