How do I install hood pins, into a carbon fiber hood?

I just bought a carbon fiber hood and hood pins, what is the best way to install the hood pins? anything special about doing it with a carbon fiber hood?

It really easy imo. First, what I did was instead of drilling a hole for the rods, I just used one of the holes with the rubber corks in them, pulled them out and there you have holes for thr rods to go through. Next, After you get the rods secure and tightened down so it doesn't have any movement (you have the remove the black metal piece that connects to your front bumper and bolts to the frame to access your bottom screw when you tightened it) see where the rods hits the hood. Slam it down a couple of times so it dents the hood. After that, just take a fat drill bit and start drilling. Drill through the bottom layer first and make sure it will clear the rod. Then, drill through the top. After that, I used a dremel sander bit on my drill so sand around the opening making it smoother and bigger so it will clear the rod. After that, close your hood, and get the locks and place it on your hood with it locked through the rod, then drill the holes for the lock and then your done! That how I did it, hope that helps.

Where did you buy your hood from? If its a quality hood from places like kaminari (NOT apc!!!), you won't even need hood pins because its strong enough to support it self when closing.
