I don't know what theyre called but theyre on my wheels and I wanna get rid of them.
I had all 4 tires replaced and when I got my car back there are these little clips on the rim of my wheels(wheels are stock). Is it safe to remove them ### the're ugly. And how do u remove them?
Another question I might as well ask. Is it safe to clean the air filter from an Injen Intake with a K&N recharger kit? I heard the intake came with a K&N filter.

Ahhhh....noooo dont remove those. Those are weights to balance the wheel! If you take them off most likely going down the highway it will be an unpleasant ride. If you dont like them, go to a tire shop and get the stick on weights that go on the inside of the rim.

Those are the magic emulets that keep the wheel from imploding. If you remove them, the wheels will have lost all magical powers, and you may be more prone to dwarf attack.

lol I thought I was the only one with that problem. Do you have nightmares about dwarf attacking too? I think I had enough nightmares about them to make a tv show... "When Dwarfs Attack"

Dear DSM members,
As a dwarf, I take great offense to the fact that you look at our species as a "magical, yet evil people" who maintain an ill temper and flog other motorists at will. I will admit, when driving my 89 Civic SI, I have had many a will to get out of my car and beat the hell out of an unsuspecting DSM driver. After all, who do you think you are? With your all wheel drive and your turbo and your rally heritage? You think you're better than me?! Huh? Punk! I do NOT have a short complex. I drive a Honda because I can see over the steering wheel. And because I can put pixie dust in my intake and blow other drivers away. I keep it in a big blue bottle labeled "NAAWWWZZZ". I think some movie stole my idea. I dunno. Time to go steal my pixie dust wheel weights back from Firestone.
Later,
Matt.
(Not really a dwarf, just warped.)

Their balance weights and are called counter-weights. They counteract the offsetting weight of imperfect tires/wheels (man-made=imperfect). Without counter-weights, your tires will wear unevenly and you will have a rough ride. Weights are good for you. Ugly is a state of mind. Don't take them off, they have tracking devices implanted within them that alert the tire-shop that you are due for another rotation.
