Are you talking about the housing, or the halo color itself? Yes I do beleive you can buy different rings, and put them in yourself..You probly have to take apart the headlight to do this..It's not hard, you can use either the oven meathod or a hair dryer...Theres a tech article about modding headlights..You might have to solder in the new ring, unless its a plug and play kinda thing..
 
Usually a none replaceable led is what lights them up.


Older halos use basic 5mm LEDs that are pretty easy to replace AFTER you have first gone to the trouble of opening the headlights.

Newer halos have started using SMT side emitting LEDs that are very hard to find in colors and very hard to replace due to the tiny size.
