i want to order some lowering springs but i dont know how low to go.. i dont want to be tucking i want the wheel well right above the tire can anybody give me some suggestions on how low to go or where they measure it from? the inside of the wheel well or the outside>?:hmm:

Get a set of eibach sportlines, but if money is an issue, get yourself megan racings.
They provide a 2" drop, and i have a friend with a 97 tsi awd who is running them along with a set of tokico illuminas and the car rides good.

i couldnt find eibachs that gave me a 2' drop.. i could only find 1.7 in the fron and 1.5 in the back.. i could only find h&r springs that provided a 2' drop exactly

i have kyb springs and tokico struts and my tires are right at the fender cant even get a finger between the fenders and the tires i love it

I have the Tokico Illumina shock/spring package on both my cars. They are a perfect drop. With the 18" wheels on the Talon you can barely fit your fingers in between tire and wheel well. It's around 1.5" drop I believe, have to hit dips and such at an angle and it still rubs occasionally, but is perfect IMO. Also, they a reasonably priced, of good quality (I researched tons of reviews before buying) and the have adjustable dampening. That's my 2 cents.

ok thanks.. for now i just bought megan racing lowering springs that give me a 2' drop and i have size 17' rims so i think it will be good and look good.. how long do you think i can use my stock struts for with my lowering springs before having to buy new aftermarket ones?

They are probably already blown, so if you have the money, replace your shocks at the same time as your springs.
