So I FINALLY got to do something on my car that didnt involve keeping it running. I decided to move some gauges around. I had all these gauges and the tach so it didnt cost me anything at all. I thought it was pretty cool idea. It was very simple if you want to know how just ask. The coolest part was how my shift light fit right where the old power knob for the blower was. What do you guys think?

I'm not personally a fan of the big side mount tach thing that seems to be common around the car world, but I do like the enginuity with the shift light! Looks good!:thumb:

I like it good work. great shift light placement.

The three gauges fit nice there. This is a decent option for those without A/C.

Thanks!

Thanks. Glad you like it!

Same here. But it came with the car and it was just laying around after I took it out of the car a while back. I plan to put the SAFC II in the vent area next! Thanks for the compliment!

Looks good. Good use of room and already prefabbed holes.
It was very little work to make them fit. Almost like thats what they were made for! Thanks!

Thats how I want my gauges but I need my HVAC Controls.
I am going to attempt to move the actual control to the glove compartment area. I will post pictures when I try it.

Yea I have no A/C on the car. But I think im going to try to move the controls so I can still have heat. Thanks!

I think I saw someone on here that put the hvac controls below the radio because there is that extra space..

The shift light has to be one of the coolest mods I've seen. Candy for the eyes! I like the other guys idea about putting the hvac controls under the radio too.

That'll be real handy for when you have a passenger who can read the tach to you.

I don't get shift lights. Can't you guys feel anything? Do you think there's a magical point to shift that'll be the same every time you wind up, on every road?

If that airbag ever goes off, it'll remind you why that wasn't the best place to mount something.

Very unlikely that an airbag will ever go off in that 1g. :D

OP, I've seen that done before with the gauges in the HVAC control locations but it was done with 60mm gauges instead. They seem to fill out the holes almost perfectly.

I don't see a problem putting non-critical (meaning I'm not going to want to look at them all the time) in that spot, and have wanted to for a while. Boost and AF will always be on a pillar pod, though.

No airbag... Plus the gauges were just laying around and my air/heat dont work. I also have another center section Ican replace it with at anytime. Oh, I like it too which is the best part.

Just something to do.

Just used what I had laying around. Yea dont have too much to worry about with the airbag:thumb::shhh:

that is sick i always wondered what it would look like to put gauges in the adjusters, and the tach light fits perfect...
Thanks alot man!:hellyeah::hellyeah:

I really like it, what did you have to do to mount the gauges in the holes? I think I will do this with my other car...
Its pretty simple man. Just take it all apart and cut the center of the plastic piece to fit the gauges screw the plastic back in feed the wires out of the holes and slide the gauges in and thats about it. Really a lot simpler than I thought it would be.Anymore questions just ask.:thumb::thumb:
