S2000 Antenna

Does anyone know if the s2000 antenna will just screw right it on our cars ? im talkin an actual s2000 antenna not one the ones you see on ebay for our car that are like a foot high. the s2000's antenna is only 7 inches high. heres the differeneces below. (hope you dont mind me using your pic dennis.) thanks guys.

theres probably a way to make it fit, because the ebay antenna i have (like the one in the picture link), came with a screw thing that you screw in the antenna, then you screw it into your car, it came with like 3 different sizes... perhaps you could do this with the s2000 antenna... all depending if the actual screw in thing comes out of the s2000 antenna....

just a thought.

i had one in my gs because i kept breaking the power one on the car wash
and it looked really good and it's lot cheaper than shave it i think i bought from locustom.com or something like that and it's amplified

i hope so. the power antenna should just unscrew right out right ? i dont go to the car wash anyway. even if i do ill just unscrew it. ill bid on it and see what happens.

don't trip doggie....it should fit...aren't there some s2000's driving around your area? you can check out how they fit....hell...if you want to just 'yank' that one off and use it.

Good news i just got my hands on a S2000. But like i thought the antenna on the Eclipse isn't just a screw off antenna its an entire assembly. I tried unscrewing it by pushing on one of the slots on the chrome piece but it wouldn't budge. Any ideas?

maybe it won't work for power antennas. Maybe you need to have the black antenna.

damn that sux. i dunno what to do now. i dont wanna damage my car tryin to pry the damn thing off. then i get to the s2000 antenna and it doesnt work. anyone have a power antenna and have a screw in antenna now ?

damn that sux. i read on dsmtalk teh threads are too small anyway. its good i got outbid. anyone know anyother antennas that are simular to the s2000 that will just line right up with the threads?

I read that on dsmtalk.com too. But it could be made to fit. I think for us with power antennas need to get an entire system.

oh no! please dont start a revolution of DSM owners putting s2000 antennas.. in case you didnt know.. 7th gen celica owners (2000+) they all love to have these antennas.. it screws right on.. a lot of them get it.. and a lot of them get theirs stolen.. trust me.. i use to be a 7th gen celica owner.. and larryd and every celica owner will tell u.. its koo.. but watch out cause its prone to get stolen.. i like the power antenna.. maybe if u dont have a power antena its a good replacement.. just my.02

Well my stock up down antenna finally got busted, so I went out and got me a cheap $6 coil antenna. It was about a foot long and waved too much, I had to hack it too about 6 inches and re shrink wraped the coil and painted the thing black.

wadaya think?
