all wheel drive not working????!?!?!?!

ok today it was really wet and i have never tried launching my car and i decided to and i peeled out but my friend said that only the front wheels were spinning and not the rear and i have AWD, and uh i dunno why that would be is there a lsd or somethign?? or is it like the TRANSFER CASE gogin bad to the rear wheels????

well it first depends on your car, if you have abs, you don't have and lsd, its just one of the wonderful decisions that dsm designers made, but what RPM did you drop it at?

bout' 6500 rpms and they just started spinnin in the rain how can i tell whether i have abs, cuz when i was racing one time i had to hit the brakes and they locked up all four, and it didnt feel like i had abs

call the dealership and give them your VIN they should be able to pull up all the specifications on your car.

my 94' gsx has abs and a vlsd rear diff. I know it has abs from the abs pump under the hood and the fact that my abs light is always on because they don't work and i know i have a vlsd because it says so on the sticker in my driver's side door jam. it only happened in '92 that if the car had abs then it didn't have a vlsd because that's the year they introduced abs. At least i'm pretty sure that's how it is.

no they said that they just stood still, but i made sure that my e-brake was off and stuff and just dumped it like it was almost liket it was just ffwd

kinda dangerous but....do that again just rev up a dump the clutch and have your friend try to look underneath (from a distance) and see if your driveshaft is spinning. If its not then it probly has something to do with the tranny/center diff or something on that end of the shaft...if it is then it might be with the transfer case. but I own a GST so idk

burnallfours...I guess now you burnalltwos huh hehe, also uhh did you hear any weird clunks or noises when you dropped it from 6500 cause I think that sounds kinda high and couldve broke something...but again I own a T and only got to drive a X once...wasn't that impressed cause it was completely stock (huge difference in power compared to mine) and I never got the opportunity to launch it, which is the biggest advantage of awd. But in my T lauching at 3000 will spin the tires crazy and give so much wheel hop that you just can't launch that high

or if you know someone who will do it for you for free... se if you can get it up on a lift and then start her up and put it in gear. there is a shop down the road from me that will check your car out for free if you tell them you have a problem. They'll put it up on a lift and everything.
