who knows a urethane molder?

Nothing against what Nick is doing with the carbon fiber chin. but I would like to have a urethane one. Does anyone know a place that will mold one out of urethane? I think the urethane will be a lot more pratical than the others. Being here in NC, good custom parts are hard to come by.

Someone help me out.

It may sound ghetto. because it is, but why not get a wrecked 97-99 front, clip the bottom off and turn it upside down, then mount it to the bottom of the other one? Wouldn't it work?

Trying to steal my thunder! I already asked the guy that is making them in cf. Here is what he thinks. If you hit a curb at any speed with any lip or chin (urethane, cf, abs plastic, fiberglass, etc) it will not withstand the impact. I agree with that. Urethane will scrap and chunks will be taken out. look at the underneath of any lowered 2g bumper cover. You will see yellow or white! But if you find someone with urethane that will mold it then more power to you. Let me know how it turns out. I will be rolling with a cf one, compliments the cf hood!

Well the bottom of my bumper has lasted ALOT longer than the lip did. Plus urethane can me molded from skin soft, so stiff as a board. It all depends on how you want it.

just a serious idea- Don't they sell some kinda urethane resin or something in most hardware stores? Maybe you could buy some clay or something and pack it around a decent RMDSM lip to make a mold, or maybe even pack the resin around it and fill it? I dunno jack about molding, so bare with me. I saw some mold making supplies on a site posted here about a cf pod. UScomposites.com??? Maybe you can make a mold and make your own. I dunno about your area, but there isn't much around here as far as custom fabrication goes. If you want it made, maybe you could call a few places and ask if they know. Phat Ridz has made a pretty big name for themselves. Maybe they know someone in the biz.

Sneak in to a trailer park one night, pull of some plastic siding and bolt that to the bottom. Better than stock right?? Hell you might even get enough to make some side skirts.

And yes the car is comming along fine.. So far the "Ghetto Rigs" are holding.
