They are actually the 3g eclipse wheel. Notice the lip on them and the curvier spokes. I m picking up 2 of those and 2 GSX wheels to replace 2 bent ones, So with the extra 3g ones I might see how they look in the back. Will be like a fake staggered setup. Otherwise I ll just have 4 stock GSX wheels. Im leaning twards painting them like number 1. Keep in mind it looks more fake and the colours are a bit off. I couldnt go full black and the bronze may need tweaking:thumb:

Only problem with 4 I saw is it requires more masking work! I originally said 9 but the bronze is a tad to dark. The whole point in the bronze is to bring some "life" to the car so it doesnt seem totally black.
Dunno whats going to happen yet, I would like to have them powdercoated, but thats going to be expensive. I wouldnt mind trying to paint a spare, but Im not shure the paint will hold up so well? Anyone have good experiance with paint as opposed to powder?

i would go with 7 or 9

Alright great thanks for that! I can hopefully find it easy enough a brand like that too. The guy locally I talked to said he wont do 2 tone powder, but I havent shown him the wheels yet, and no price idea. Another canadian dsmer wanted more than I feel like paying right now, but then again im shure It s going to be hard to find a better price for powdercoat. I was thinking it should be cheap and easy to maybe just powder the lip since it gets more abuse, and paint the center myself.

I like #8. Should look nice. I have my rims painted gloss gunmetal with a red lip, and everyone thinks theyre aftermarket wheels LOL. The 2GB GSX rim is an awesome looking rim....similar to Work Emotions/ Rota Torque's.

I was looking at your car just the other day LOL. I remember seeing it before, so that was part of me deciding not to jump on the red pinstripe bandwagon. Your car is dead sexy though! So its paint not powder? if so what paint?

Lol, yea the red pinstripe is getting kinda old, but it does look good, gives it a nice contrast. Thank you, and yes theyre painted, not powdercoated. My father works for the paint company Dupont, so he got me some serious paint that they use for semi's and ambulances, its the toughest paint you can get other than powdercoating. They havent chipped or anything, and I had them painted over a year ago. They have about 3 coats of clear on them too to make them nice and glossy...I hate a flat colored wheel, they never look clean. Good luck with your wheels man, should look sick!

I now have 2 bent GSX rims, 2 of those 3g rims I edited, and 4 gsx rims that are actually round LOL. Im having trouble deciding if I want the 3gs on the back for the staggard look, it looks pretty damn sexy, but It ll be a pain in the arse swapping tires instead of wheels when it comes to tire rotation.

UPDATE! They are done ;)

For those of you who were skeptical on 2 tone black and bronze wheels, here they are :D Powdered Mercedes Black, lip painted Duplicolor Bronze.

Fresh black powder

I sanded the lip down to get ready for paint

My uncle came by and did the painting. He used to do body work for a living, and I must say he did a better masking and painting job than I ever could have! :D

The Bronze definitely came out much better than any images I found on google. I guess you just need to know what your doing ;)

The rims look amazing. I want to paint my OEM wheels, it'd be alot cheaper then buying rims and tires to match XD I just finished up painting my car rattle can flat black, and i think it came out decent. Thus, I dont think anything too glossy would look decent, and i was thinking possibly a bronze of some shade. Love the rims. This thread actually put the idea of finding a set of 3g rims in my head...
Nice work with yours man :applause:
