affordable lightweight wheels on a 2g?
Hello everyone, im still undecided which wheels to choose from, anyone have experience using these wheels? im leaning towards 5zigen wheels, Also what would be the best tires size with no fender rubbing, any suggestions, thank you!
5zigen N01R-C Hot Version bronze, 17x7, (35mm offset i think)
Rota grid, 17x7 bronze 45mm offset
Rota P45, 17x7 45mm offset bronze

I'm pretty sure you can get them all to fit our cars. I vote the 5zigen N01R-C. I have always loved those wheels on a 2g.

Again, stop posting misinformation people, if you dont KNOW itll fit, dont say it WONT fit. A lack of information does not mean it doesnt work.
As for all of those, they'll work, but why are you limiting yourself to such teeny weeny wheels. Look up "wide wheels" or 17x9 and youll see plenty of setups, including my own that have been on the vehicle, I have personally run the 5zigens and I loved them. Grids are gorgeous too but a bit heavy, same with the p45R.
A nice setup for you wanting to remain lightweight but throwing wide wheels is maybe a 17x8 or 17x8.5 5zigen in like a 35 offset.

Another nice lightweight wheel to consider is the Enkei RPF1's.
I agree with D_Eclipse in that getting something wider would be better. But I think we're both a bit road racing/autox biased

You can swap with a 97+ and you wont need the spacer in the back. The 97+ have a slightly revised suspension. I run 17x9 +35 and absolutely no rubbing.

no rubbing at all, in fact the tire lines up directly with the fendor. looks great. I'm only on a 225 though. i could prob go 245 before having problems.

Are 9 inch the widest that will fit with stock suspension and without spacers? I thought I had read about a couple people running 9.5 or 10 inch.

I'd say they're on the lighter side for the size that they are. The wheels are 18x8.5 and I'm running 245-40's for tires. I know, the sidewall is on the thicker side, but I couldn't pass the deal up.
I will post pics later today.

Nessuno, what is the offset on those rims? Also, do you have any rubbing issues with being so low?

+30 offset, pretty much flush with the fenders. the first two pictures were taken before I drove the car and it rubbed pretty bad. the last two were after I raised it a bit. no issues so far, but I did have to set my shocks to their stiffest settings to get it right so it didn't rub at all around corners.
