i've got the black dash/ tan leather interior... how much does it cost to get an all black interior?

What specifically do you want to change? Try checking your local junkyards and www.dsmtrader.com for the parts needed.

i've been wanting to do this as well for awhile and have starting the conversion. The first thing I did was replace the headliner. I bought a replacement liner at Carparts and installed it. I took a decent amount of work, but it came out great. Then I painted the the brackets and handle for the sunroof and the stripping that goes around the inside of the sunroof. Btw, I did this all in a light grey(i think it will go good with the rest of the interior being black)

then i did the doors. I used duplicolor vinyl spray paint on the inserts and must say they came out great. Time will tell how long they stay that way though....Im not convinced its a permenant solution yet. btw, the carpet sections of the door inserts take ALOT of paint and many coats to get a good result. I repeated this process on the center console and the center console carpet inserts.

well, thats it so far, but i plan to replace the carpet soon with a new black one...I think they are like $100.

after that, the seats, not sure what I'll do here....I don't think painting is a good idea, so therefore Im either going to get the existing ones reuphostered OR try to find grey cloth or black leather OEM's out of a junker.

my 1g has all black leather interior. It looks great but it's no fun. You burn your ass in the summer and freeze it in the winter.
